Samir Kumar Bandyopadhyay is Registrar, West Bengal University of Technology, and Reader, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Calcutta. He received BE degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Bengal Engineering College, Shibpur, and MTech and PhD from the University of Calcutta. His current research interests include mobile computing, pattern recognition, graph colouring, image processing and neural networks. He has authored and coauthored many research papers and books, and is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India) and Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication.
