Kashi Nath Dey is a senior faculty in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Calcutta. He received his Master's degree in applied mathematics and MTech from the University of Calcutta. He has also worked as a Systems Analyst in Digisoft, Vadodara; MMC, Kolkata; and DPS (India), Kolkata. His areas of research are optical computing, soft compting approaches in problem solving, and optimization theory.
