S K Bhattacharya is currently the principal of SUS Women's Engineering College, Mohali, Punjab. Formerly he was the director of National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research (NITTTR), Kolkata, India. A Ph.D. from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, he was professor of Electrical Engineering and then Principal of Technical Teachers' Training Institute, Chandigarh. With a long experience in teaching as well as in training of teachers, he has prepared a number of teaching/learning materials. His textbooks are very popular with students and teachers alike.
