Major General (Retd) Dr J. R. Bhatti has served in the Indian Army as a front-line leader for 37 years, wherein he had the opportunity to develop, manage and lead thousands of officers and soldiers. He has been conferred with gallantry and distinguished service awards of Sena Medal and Vishisht Seva Medal by the President of India. He has a Ph.D. in management, an MBA and an M.Sc. in strategic management and defence studies. He is a visiting speaker to a number of civil, security and educational institutes, including IIM Indore. He is currently a senior professor and the head of department of management studies, Vidya School of Business, Meerut, U.P., India.
