Kavita Singh

Kavita Singh is an associate professor in the area of organizational behaviour, organizational development and change at the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi. She received a Ph.D. in management from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, for her research project on work culture in select Indian organizations. Dr Singh has been actively involved in teaching, research, and consultancy in a distinguished career spanning more than 19 years. She was nominated by the University of Delhi in 2008 to attend a colloquium on participant-centric learning at the Harvard Business School. A recipient of AICTE's Career Award for Young Teachers in 2002–2003, Dr Singh completed a project on learning organizations and empowerment under this scheme. Currently, she is working on a two-year research project awarded by the University Grants Commission in the area of emotional intelligence and quality of work life. She has also conducted training workshops for public- and private-sector organizations such as the National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd, IndianOil Corporation Ltd, the Taj Group, Punjab National Bank, and the State Bank of India in the area of behavioural sciences and change management. Dr Singh is engaged in research in the areas of human behaviour, change management, knowledge management, interpersonal relationships, leadership skills, counselling skills, and team building. She is the author of Leadership in Dynamic Age (NIIT Ltd, 2004) Organizational Change and Development (Excel Books, 2006), and Counselling Skills for Managers (PHI Learning, 2007).
