Subrata Ghoshal was a professor of the Department of Embedded System Design, IIIT Pune. He obtained his Ph.D from IIT Bombay. He was Professor and Head of the IT department at the Sikkim Manipal Institite of Technology, and Professor of Computer Science department of St Thomas' College of Engineering and Technology, Kolkata. He has also served as an associate professor at BITS, Pilani, Rajasthan.
