Tapan K. Bose is Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, India; a qualified quality lead assessor; and was member of various industry associations and sub-committees of CII. After graduating in mechanical engineering he opted to pursue a professional career rather than join his family business. Apart from a two-year technical training in West Germany, Mr Bose was acquainted with technical and operating systems at the General Motors plants in Detroit, Sao Paulo, Mexico City and at Vauxhall Motors, UK. During his 35 years of management, operating, marketing and functional experience, Mr Bose held top and senior management positions with renowned multinational and Indian companies. Since 1992, when he retired as President and CEO, he has been a management consultant and educator, drawing on his management and operating experience coupled with international business exposure in the fields of exports, technical collaboration, technology transfer, and international management practices. More than 150 renowned companies have either taken his consultancy and in-house training service or have sent people to his external seminars on organizational transformation, quality management, productivity improvement, re-orientation of work culture, team synergy, professionalism in family business, leadership development, etc.
