K. I. Parashivamurthy obtained his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering during 1990, his M.Tech. in Metal Casting Science and Engineering in 1993 from Bangalore University and his Ph.D. in Ferrous Composite Materials, where he developed power plant applications at the Central Power Research Institute (CPRI), Bangalore, Bangalore University, in the year 2003. He has attended the Forum for Material Testing organized by Zwck/Roell Testing Machines, Ulam, Germany, in 2006. He has participated in the International Conference on Materials Science & Technology 2007 Conference and Exhibition (MS&T'07), September 2007, Detroit, Michigan, the USA.
