Dr. N.D. Junnarkar is presently working as Professor (Mechanical Engineering Area) in Tolani Maritime Institute. He did Ph.D. from Symbiosis International Deemed University, Pune. His work is on the 'Measurement of Quality of Engineering Education' . His area of special interest is process and operation improvement and management for the Manufacturing and Service Industry along with the focused work in Quality Management Area. He is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer. He started his career with Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Subsequently he completed A.M.I.E. (Mechanical) from Institution of Engineers (India). He also posses B.E. (Mechanical Engineering) from Pune University after which he did Post Graduation MS (Manufacturing Management) from Birla Institute Of Technology & Science, Pilani, Rajasthan. He has total 22 years of work experience in industry, teaching and research out of which 10 years with industries in wide variety of fields especially in Process Planning and Tool Development . He is a member of Institution of Engineers . He has published many articles in refereed journals on the subject related to quality in education. He is practicing astrologer. He is working as adjunct faculty member for the industry collaborative programs run by BITS, Pilani. He is Academic Supervisor for the industry collaborative programs run through combined efforts of Warwick University,UK and Confederation of Indian Industries in India. He has authored a book on Machine Drawing which is useful to polytechnic and engineering degree courses.
