S Maria Arockia Raj has been teaching mathematics since 1982. He is associated with the John Napier Maths Club activities in school. He also brought out a math magazine named PULLI which contained interesting math related news. He was a resource person for the Sarva Siksha Abhiyan and has also conducted many workshops for it. He also has a keen interest in music. He passed the 4th grade theory paper of Music from Trinity College, London in 1995. He has written a book “Guitar Guide for Beginners” and has also released a devotional audio album.
