Neerja Narain has been a very successful teacher of English for over three decades, and had a long stint at St Francis' College, Lucknow. She has written over a dozen reference books for students of English literature and language and abridged two dozen classics for all ages. She has been closely associated with All India Radio and Doordarshan for a long time, and played badminton at the national level in her younger years. At present she is an honorary Principal of Playway High School, Lucknow.
