Dr Girijesh Pant is currently the Vice Chancellor of Doon University, Uttaranchal. He has worked on India's energy security and globalization, and the West Asian economies. He has authored and edited eight books and published more than fifty research articles. Dr Pant was Vice Chancellor, GGD University, Bilaspur (India) and Vice President, Indian Academy of Social Sciences. He was Senior Fulbright Fellow at the University of Illinois, USA, and Chairperson, Centre for West Asian and African Studies.
