D. Shyam Babu is Fellow at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute for Contemporary Studies, New Delhi. His publications also include two co-edited volumes (with Bibek Debroy), The Dalit Question: Reforms and Social Justice and The India Mosaic: Searching for an Identity.
